Fresh Install Open Office in your Elementary OS

Follow the four easy steps to configure and install Open Office package on your Linux based Elementary OS

Open your terminator or terminal in your Linux distributor version as of mine is Elementary OS version 16.04 Xenial. The Open Office package is of 145.77 MB file with version 4.1.1.

Follow the steps to install: 

1. wgetsourceforge.net/projects/openofficeorg.mirror/files/4.1.1/binaries/en-GB/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.1_Linux_x86-64_install-deb_en-GB.tar.gz

2. tar -xzvf Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.1_Linux_x86-64_install-deb_en-GB.tar.gz

3. cd en-GB/DEBS 

4. sudo dpkg -i *.deb

5. cd desktop-integration  

6. sudo dpkg -i *.deb
